How can it have been almost a year since I shot this amazing barebonelove session?!?!?!?! Mary Jo and Joe have been one of the easiest couple I have ever had the pleasure of working with.
Mary Jo has such amazing style and they both completely trust what I do………a combination that makes my job as a photographer so easy.
Theses are some of my favorite images to date.

I can’t wait to post their wedding pictures and shoot their up coming belly portrait!!!! Whoo Hoo! The ever expanding barebonefamily is a very happy one :)
Thank you Mary Jo and Joe for having such trust in my vision.

First of all….when a bride says ” I booked this room just for you…….I know it’s one of your colors.” I melt. Rachel + Zvi must be one of my most laid back…….unique couples I have ever had the pleasure of photographing.
Their wedding oozed personality. From the Fluvog shoes to the purple velvet jacket, their details make me swoon. Every single thing Rachel was wearing had meaning. A dress from The Brides Project , gloves and fur wrap from her grand mother. The list goes on, too many to mention. It was a photographers dream. From the getting ready at the Ivy to the ceremony and reception at my favorite venue the Enoch Turner…….every where you looked there was the opportunity to capture amazing images.

See what I mean………..Even the chuppah was an heirloom!

Thank you Rachel+Zvi not only for the opportunity to get to know you and photograph you, but also for the extremely thoughtful gift of my favorite novel in limited edition print.

Elegant and fun, not two word that usually go together. But for this wedding it was certainly the case! Ashley and Teddy’s wedding was the most elegant and fun wedding of the year.  How could it not be elegant when the venue is the Royal York Hotel. Boys in bow ties and fur stoles all added to the sophistication. Everywhere I looked there was something stunning to shoot.

Thank you Ashley and Teddy for choosing me to document this amazing night.

So much color…… eyes can’t take it. OK maybe I’m over exaggerating. But I LOVED all the color during this springs mini sessions! I don’t know how I will top this set up. But look out tomorrow for our summer mini session announcement.

I’m already planning the colors and the brighter the better I think this year.

Thank you to everyone who came out on a brisk April day to rock their sessions.SpringMiniBlogBoard2

Rachel and Zvi made the trek down to Cambridge one snowy afternoon to do their engagement session.
We were going to shoot and then chit chat about what they where looking for on their wedding day. But when we got to the library……it was closed. Hours on the site not the same as the ones on the door.
Well what else do you do but escape the chilly weather?  Head to Starbucks and have a latte……or two.  Immediately it felt like I was talking to old friends. And I think if we didn’t have other impending plans we could have sat there and chatted all afternoon. But we had a photo shoot to get to. And shoot we did.

These two are so easy  to photograph. They are just comfortable with each other and in their own skin.  I very quickly realized that the wedding day would be a breeze.

Keep an eye out for the wedding photo’s coming soon!

I am so in love with this love session…….It makes makes me ache for sweater weather.

Ashley and Teddy came to the studio in Puslinch three days before their wedding for an barebonelove session.
I insist on a love session. Not just because……..but to get to know you as a couple.
And get to know your best side. I’d rather work it all out before the day of the wedding…….rather than wasting precious time on the day. If your comfortable in front of my camera before the day……then it is easy peasy.

I also want to know what makes you laugh, can I tell a dirty joke…..will you lay down in mud for me?
It’s all about making the big day as easy as possible.
And if your lucky you walk away with some fantastic images just like these two!barebonephoto engagement portrait

Well it is that time of year again. Christmas is coming and it’s time to think about cards!
Were excited to share this years designs with you.

Michelle and Dan are getting hitched this coming weekend in London.
I can’t wait to be a part of this fun couples wedding…….I can only imagine the shenanigans that we will get up to.

Thank you Michelle and Dan for choosing barebonephoto to document the beginning of your lives together.

The only way to describe Sue and Joe and their family is SUPER AWESOME! Seriously. Since the first time I talked to these two on the phone I knew I had to be their photographer. My email to them the next day was more like a love letter than a regular client email. We just clicked.

One of the reasons was I loved the idea that they wanted to involve their entire family in their engagement session. And as soon as I met their family I knew why. They are witty, out going and ridiculously silly. Which made for a fun afternoon. I don’t think I’ve laughed so much in my life. I felt at home with Sue and Joe and their family. And it comes through in their images.

Not one grumpy face in the bunch……..

Thanks again Sue and Joe and crew for letting me be a part of your amazing family……even if it was just for an afternoon!
